Update #2

LLKSDA Winter Trip: January 15-18

ARRIVE:

Here are the access instructions for the cabin, along with general information.

Enter the cabin first by using the main entrance at the top of the stairs:
- touch the lock on the logo (Schlage)
- wait for the green check mark
- enter your unique access code : 350115

Then, go through the cabin to the basement and unlock the garage door manually from the inside (I think it is easier to unload your belongings from the lower level).
Check in: 4:00 pm MDT on January 15, 2016
Check out: 11:00 am MDT on January 18, 2016

*To lock the door, from the inside just turn the lock mechanism on the inside, with the door shut.  To lock the door from the outside, just touch the logo.  If the code is entered incorrectly, or the door knob is turned while it is locked, there will be some beeping, which lasts a minute or two - no need to panic.

*The roads are maintained by Brian Head Town and the owners have hired someone to remove snow from the driveway and deck/stairs; but, you will need either a 4 x 4 or snow chains to park in the driveway. Due to so much snow, it's easiest to park on the street, but you will need to stay along the property towards the north end to avoid blocking the snow plow.  **Do not park at the end of the cul de sac - as that is where the snow is pushed to.

EAT:

  • Here's the latest (and probably last) list of people going on the trip.
  • Included below are the Leaders for the meal preps.

  5. Can I bring my pets? Unfortunately, the lodge has strict rules against pets. Please arrange for pet care at home.
  6. Is there space for anymore guests? Hmm, maybe 1 or 2 - they will need to bring a sleeping mat/sleeping bag.
  7. What about the food? I'll be asking for a food coordinator to work with the group to decide what to bring. We will have "Noodle Night" on Sunday, so bring your favorite Noodles, we'll have all the hot water! Also, I will bring a water filter so we don't have to load up on disposable water bottles. (Bring your own water bottle.)

If you have any other questions, let me know! Otherwise, keep thinking snow!

Thanks,
David Kim
